HK day 5

i'm so confused. there's too many chinese people. chinese people = noise. therefore there is too much noise.
and manners. gosh. no-one holds doors for anyone, no-one says thank you, no-one says please. they'd rather not say anything at all and shove their way past you. me holding doors open for people makes them look at me like i have some mental problem.
filipinos are treated like nothing. basically ignored and not considered as part of society. apart from dumping your kids with them so you can go do whatever.
tube stations are crazy. five double doors each side to a carriage, every 2 minutes, always packed. and people rush everywhere. rushrushrush.
even when you try and have some peace and quiet, you'll never ever get it here. if you're silent, there's bound to be something else screaming out. if not taxis, then shops at 10 at night, if not shops. then cicadas, if not cicadas, then the air con that you must have on to stay alive in the 30 degrees at night.
and stars don't even exist in HK. i don't think children have ever heard of them apart from story books. obv won't be seen during the day, where the sun actually rules over everything. but obv not at night either where the skyscrapers come to life.
it's sad. it really is.
but i do love it :)

Day 2

i'm really really not used to the amount of chinese people here. and the weather's crazy as well. well, more the people. inside shopping malls, houses, hotels, etc, it's more or less freezing, or as i like to call it, fridge temperature. about 5 degrees or so. step outside... oven temperature. average of 33 degrees, with warm wind blowing. niiiiice. so british of me, complaining about bad weather when it's awesome. XD
and... i'm just like any other teenage boy in HK now. compared to them, i'm not fashionable at all. it seems as if any age up to 16, people don't care how they look, then BOOM cool asian hair (blond, brown, red, but HAS to be spiky) expensive clothes... very very vain appearances. sigh.
for anyone reading this, check facebook. :) since you're not here with me, and i miss you lots, i've taken the liberty of taking pictures wherever i go (how chinese of me) so it'll be just like you're with me :)
and you know who i'm talking about ;)

HK 2K10

soooooo. after all the anticipation, i'm finally in HK. it's like i never left, tbh.
sure, there's a lot of things that have changed... random tunnels, more mountains taken away to make roads, more roads. hotter weather.



plane flight was horribleeee. the whole "watch 5 films in 12 hours" failed when my entertainment system decided it would be fun to restart. 10 times.
on top of that misfortune, virgin atlantic decided to play a little game. because they thought that putting the films with the film titles was just too normal, they decided to switch EVERY SINGLE FILM and place them in any random order. so when i clicked alice in wonderland, i got fantastic mr. fox. nice. and after all that, i only got to see one film. so no clash of the titans, no avatar D: sad times. sad times indeed.



so yeah. same heat, same humidity. towels are wet before you use them, and people rush so much more in HK. they never relax... :/ like a damn ant colony, they are.
this whole trip hasn't been planned very well either. have no idea what i'm doing for the next 6 weeks. i had so much to say. but i've forgotten it all now. the 12 hours on the plane made me dizzy now. coz apparently the ground doesn't move, but my head's still spinning. niiiiiiiice.
anyways. that's it from me atm. HK out.

right, fair enough. exam mode's gone now. at this precise moment in time, i'm watching fresh prince. my mind's spinning, and i'm incredibly hungry, but i'll wait till lunch.
kind of thinking about the past as well, and everything that's happened since GCSE. major deja-vu, really. same time, same library, different people, much harder exams. other than that, more or less the same.
i miss jk.
and after all this hassle of exams at the 29th, i have two days until i go to hong kong for 48 days... dunno what's gonna happen there. i predict food, shopping, food, sleep, food, badminton, food. that's basically it. maybe climb some mountains. probably physically and emotionally?
aaaaaaaaand. liverpool. i wonder how that will be... dream of southampton ruined by none other than myself :)
